Two reasons guided the choice of this subject.<\/p>\n
First, the fear of death is the most destabilising emotion a human being can feel. His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH incarnated to help us regain serenity. With infinite Compassion, He repeats to each one of us: \u201cDo not be afraid of death any more.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n Second, the perspective of the hereafter offered by Aumism guarantees the return to balance for all.<\/p>\n In this talk, we will therefore answer the following questions:<\/p>\n 1. What are death and the hereafter according to Aumism?<\/p>\n 2. How can life in this hereafter, called the Column of Light, guarantee the return to individual and planetary balance?<\/p>\n 3. How does this Knowledge of the hereafter encourage us to achieve our balance here and now?<\/p>\n \u201cDeath is only a change of state<\/strong>,\u201d[1]<\/sup><\/a> says Lord HAMSAH MANARAH.<\/p>\n \u201cThe ladder of the kingdoms as a whole is subject to the principle of death, which makes it possible to pass from a lower stage of evolution to a higher one.\u201d<\/em>[2]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n This is illustrated by the evolutionary Pyramid, which depicts the journey of consciousness from the mineral kingdom to the human and divine kingdoms.<\/p>\n The Sufi poet Rumi rightly writes: \u201cI died as a mineral and became a plant. I died as a plant and reappeared as an animal, I died as an animal and became a man. Why then should I fear? When has death ever made me less?\u201d<\/p>\n For a human being, the physical body is like a coat that he leaves behind at the end of an incarnation in order to take on a new one and continue his ascent towards Divinisation, the highest stage of Evolution.<\/p>\n After leaving the body, the soul continues to evolve in a hereafter called \u201cthe Column of Light\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH created this six-branched Column in the astral plane to welcome and help souls: \u201cAlthough invisible to the physical eyes of humans, it is very real,\u201d He says. \u201cIt was built through a gigantic vibratory work that stored up billions of sacred sounds, mantras and prayers.\u201d<\/em>[3]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n All human beings, whatever their social rank or their religious or ideological affiliation, are concerned by this \u201cKingdom of the hereafter\u201d.<\/p>\n This raises the question:<\/p>\n First, it provides individual help so that each person can regain their balance.<\/strong><\/p>\n Regaining one\u2019s balance means ridding oneself of the more or less heavy burden of selfishness, hatred and resentment that makes a person sometimes a victim and sometimes a tormentor, and keeps them going round in circles in the cogs of suffering.<\/p>\n Each branch of the Column of Light has 21 planes corresponding to levels of consciousness, in which souls take their place according to their degree of evolution.<\/p>\n The Column of Light \u201cplays the role of a gigantic astral university around the Earth\u201d<\/em>.[4]<\/sup><\/a> It works like a school: each plane corresponds to a particular work, and the soul can only reach the next plane if it is able to put the Teaching of the previous one into practice.<\/p>\n For details of the soul\u2019s journey after death, I refer you to the book by His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH, La R\u00e9volution du monde des vivants et des morts<\/em>.<\/p>\n In broad outline, the soul must first rid itself of whatever prevents it from evolving, such as dryness of heart and intellect.<\/p>\n Then it must earn the right to incarnate by cultivating universal love, selfless service and the ability to pray in Unity.<\/p>\n Only souls that have achieved a personal balance allowing them to move towards Unity are selected to return to Earth: a new incarnation is a reward that has to be earned.<\/p>\n This return to individual balance has repercussions on the return to planetary balance.<\/strong><\/p>\n Why?<\/p>\n Because we can be sure that humans full of hatred will not come back to Earth to exercise their destructive violence. From now on, after death, souls attached to division and revenge remain in training in the Column of Light until they change their mentality. They may stay there for years, or for centuries if need be![5]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n Here is an example that explains the role of the Column of Light in the return of religious peace:<\/p>\n \u201cOn Earth<\/em>,\u201d says His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH, \u201cwars often originate in interreligious quarrels, or in a religious foundation with which the nation or nations in conflict identify. Souls are therefore pushed, in spite of themselves, into the furnace of intolerance, hatred, cruelty and crimes committed in the name of God, which is the height of absurdity! The experience of the 3rd world of the Column of Light is therefore designed to cure souls once and for all of their sectarianism and fanaticism, and to make them conceive the unity of religions crowned by the Unity of the Faces of God.<\/em>\u201d[6]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n Indeed, in this 3rd world of the Column of Light, souls from all religions are brought together and must learn to live together, since God is the same for all and present in each one. When they return to Earth, they will have learned respect and tolerance, and they will no longer be able to be fanatical or sectarian.<\/p>\n Thus, as time goes on, the humans who die will increasingly be replaced by humans who put into practice the Laws of the Golden Age learned in the Column of Light. The Earth will gradually be repopulated by men and women capable of uniting, of respecting the Divine in each person, of protecting their planet together and of continuing to work on themselves so as not to fall back into their faults.<\/p>\n More and more souls trained in working on themselves will attain perfection and divinisation: they will reincarnate to help the whole of humanity regain and keep its balance.<\/p>\n The Column of Light is therefore one of the keys to the return to planetary balance.<\/p>\n Its creation is part of the immense Work of the MESSIAH to enable our humanity to change Cycle, to pass from the Age of suffering to the Age of peace, from the Age of division to the Age of solidarity.<\/p>\n It makes possible the necessary revolution in mentalities, which alone can save the Earth.<\/p>\n What must be remembered is the continuity of human effort, on Earth as in the hereafter.<\/p>\n Of course, this is a long-term work that will take a few centuries. But its aim is \u201ca reconciled humanity, united in the Golden Age, which is to last for hundreds of millennia\u201d<\/em>.[7]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n This Teaching inevitably brings us back to the need to make good use of our existence here and now.<\/p>\n Our last point will therefore be:<\/p>\n Living well means developing the best in oneself and striving to be in harmony with oneself and with others. It is the path to true happiness.<\/p>\n The progress we make here and now lightens our stay in the Column of Light and allows us to reincarnate much more quickly.<\/p>\n Our life in the hereafter depends on our life on Earth<\/strong><\/p>\n So what is important?<\/p>\n Improving oneself and helping to improve the state of the world<\/em><\/p>\n This is urgent for everyone. The two are linked: \u201cBalance,\u201d says the Lord, \u201ccan only be found by seeking the balance of the world.\u201d<\/em>[8]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n Learning to forgive<\/em><\/p>\n Forgiving oneself and forgiving others relieves us of the harm we have done or suffered. It allows us to turn the page on the past and move forward free of all resentment and all guilt. If we do not make the effort to forgive on Earth, we will have to do so in the Column of Light.<\/p>\n Cultivating detachment<\/em><\/p>\n This allows the soul to move forward more quickly and more freely.<\/p>\n \u201cLearn during your lifetime to be only the temporary stewards of the goods that Providence has placed in your hands<\/em>,\u201d says the Lord. \u201cKnow that goods remain on the earth and that you will never take anything other than prayer with you into life after death.<\/em>\u201d[9]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n He adds: \u201cThe privilege of rapid reincarnation may depend on your fervour in praying in unity.<\/em>\u201d To pray is to find and maintain one\u2019s Unity with God. Separation from God, present in oneself and in each person, is the deep source of all imbalances and of all obstacles to evolution.<\/p>\n Developing self-mastery<\/em><\/p>\n Self-mastery is useful in everyday life and helps us particularly at the moment of death.<\/p>\n The habit of controlling one\u2019s emotions and one\u2019s breath makes it possible to overcome fear on the day of death.<\/p>\n The habit of controlling one\u2019s thoughts, driving away intrusive thoughts and concentrating helps us, in our last moments, to concentrate solely on God, on the Sound OM.<\/p>\n \u201cThe man who thinks of God at the moment of death will reach God.<\/em><\/p>\n The last thoughts of a human life will determine the level of evolution we reach in the Column of Light.\u201d<\/em>[10]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n What we know of the hereafter allows us to help our fellow human beings<\/strong><\/p>\n Even when Knowledge gives meaning to death and a purpose to life, human sensitivity can still be prey to fluctuations that bring fears back to the surface. We must accept them in order to overcome them better.<\/p>\n Likewise, separation from a loved one remains one of the most difficult sufferings to live through. We must accept that it passes through us without letting ourselves be destabilised.<\/p>\n We can rise above our suffering in order to bring help.<\/p>\n Knowing that the person who is about to die, or who has just died, must continue their evolution in the Column of Light, we can help them with positive thoughts, thoughts of love and prayers.<\/p>\n Helping someone who is distressed at the moment of leaving their body is an act of compassion that everyone should be able to perform for loved ones or for strangers, near or far. Here then are some pieces of advice given by His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH. They can be useful to everyone.<\/p>\n If you have to help a dying person:<\/p>\n You will find the details in L\u2019Aumisme, la Doctrine de l\u2019\u00c2ge d\u2019Or<\/em>, Le Yoga de l\u2019Amour dans la Force<\/em> and Yoga et Sagesse<\/em>, in which the Lord gives prayers for dying people who are atheists, Christians or believers in reincarnation. In Aumism, there is no barrier between non-believers and believers of different traditions: the Divine is in each person as the Principle of Life.<\/p>\n The purpose of the Aumist Sacrament of Transition (the name given to death) is to \u201chelp the deceased understand better what is happening to them, and reassure them about their journey and the ascent of their soul in the Column of Light, the kingdom of Evolution in the afterlife<\/em>\u201d.[11]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n Helping someone face death requires a great deal of strength and love. We can draw this love and this strength from Divine Love.<\/p>\n Let us centre ourselves again on these Words of Lord HAMSAH MANARAH, who tells us:<\/p>\n \u201cDeath is a step forward towards the Light, a step towards a new hope, that of being trained in the laws of the New Age and of being reborn into matter with open eyes and a clear mind about the new realities (…) Chant OM and calm all fears and all dread concerning the natural phenomenon of death.<\/em>\u201d[12]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n We have come to the end of this talk.<\/strong><\/p>\n Perhaps some of you feel a little disoriented by this new perspective on life after death.
