FORGIVING ONESELF<\/h2>\n

While regret can prevent us from repeating a mistake, guilt often leads to resentment towards oneself and chains us to the Age of suffering (the Iron Age). [1]<\/a> Thus, “knowing how to forgive oneself is the first true and sincere step into the true Light that a soul can take\u2026”<\/em><\/p>\n

Those who wish to move towards this liberation will find help in particular in the “Key to forgiving oneself” (La R\u00e9volution du monde des vivants et des morts<\/em>, p. 253), of which here is an extract:<\/p>\n

Say mentally, then aloud, as if we were speaking to another self:<\/p>\n

“I forgive you the harm done in a moment of confusion and ignorance.<\/em><\/p>\n

I forgive you all bad thoughts and cancel all their effects.<\/em><\/p>\n

I forgive you all unkind words and cancel all their effects.<\/em><\/p>\n

I forgive you all malicious actions and cancel all their effects.<\/em><\/p>\n

May you, O my soul, henceforth conform in every respect to the law of Evolution,<\/em><\/p>\n

accept the Golden Age and take into the depths of yourself the ideal of unity, love and truth.”<\/em><\/p>\n

By gradually emerging from stagnation in remorse, we can move towards the serenity that opens the heart and mind.<\/p>\n

“A soul that has forgiven itself will be like a cup suddenly emptied of the past<\/em><\/p>\n

and ready to receive the highest Energies, the most beautiful Lights that heaven can create and send down.<\/em>“<\/p>\n
