Nature is not for sale

Our active help, our thoughts of love and our prayers [1] go out unceasingly to our fellow human beings who are victims of wars and violence. [2]
We must also think of the environment, whose mistreatment keeps turning back against our planet. We must not forget to be, day after day, “ecologists at heart, convinced that the survival of the Earth depends on the goodwill of each person”. [3] We must stop subjecting natural resources to predatory selfishness. [4] We must change perspective and contribute to the indispensable reconciliation with nature:

“Man’s relationship with profit and money will have to evolve over time; profit and money must no longer be the main motivations of progress.

If, for money, man destabilises the whole of nature, the future of the Earth will be mortgaged on paper money, coins and gold bars which man, in any case, cannot take with him to his grave.

Man must find his place in nature without destroying his living environment.

When the balance is found, reconciliation will go hand in hand with the disappearance of fear, hatreds and tensions.”
