PRESENTATION OF THE 2026 SYMPOSIUM
TOGETHER FOR PEACE
The waves of violence sweeping the world today must not make us believe that they are the sole and absolute reflection of our humanity. The areas of shadow cannot hide the light that is also expressed in the world through acts of solidarity, the defence of human dignity and of the rights of living beings, and the desire to put an end to the hatreds that endanger the planet.
To leave behind the sectarianism, prejudice, selfishness and thirst for revenge and domination that lead to war, we must see what brings human beings together instead of dividing them, and make a fresh start towards unity:
“Unity is not the crushing of those who do not think as you do,
but truly the reconciliation of all those who think differently,
while uniting their efforts for a better world.”
All human beings are concerned: peace is possible, and peace is built together. It is prepared within oneself, and won at national and international level by seeking to reduce the causes of division through greater justice and tolerance, by encouraging science to protect the Earth, by getting involved in education…
Peace, beyond the absence of war, demands the constant effort of cultivating the human values that connect us (and which, in Aumism, go hand in hand with respect for the Divine present in all beings): solidarity, sharing and kindness. Lord HAMSAH MANARAH says to all:
“May you change your outlook on the future and unite around the ideal of unity,
reconciliation, forgiveness and international peace.
Each one is responsible for the future.”
