I. THE BENEFITS OF REPEATING THE OM SOUND ON A PERSONAL LEVEL
Do not believe, O pilgrims seeking your inner balance, that chanting the OM has no effect on your destinies.
If you sow your present with the regular, daily repetition of the OM Sound, you will obtain the following results:
1. You will transform your personality.
2. You will burn up your karmic potential.
3. You will progress in mastering your unconscious, the dark parts of yourself buried in the past.
4. You will master the past.
5. You will prepare for yourself a luminous and swift reincarnation in which you will no longer have to suffer the consequences of a heavy past Karma.
6. You will store up in your inner Self an ascending power that will necessarily lead you one day to find GOD, if you persevere with regularity.
Prayer is the indispensable fuel to put in the engine of your bodily incarnated soul. Prayer lubricates the wheels of the mind, opens the heart,
restores the dimension of the Divine within you and makes you discover the why and the how of existence and of the Law of Evolution.
But there is prayer and prayer.
There is the prayer that binds, because it is too self-seeking, too selfish. There is the prayer that brings evolution, its fruits being shared with the whole of humanity, with the entire Evolutionary Pyramid.
Praying for oneself bears poisoned fruit. Praying for others multiplies the fruits of love and unity, and by helping each person through one’s prayer, one helps oneself.
That is the secret of selfless prayer, of balanced prayer.
Praying a little for oneself from time to time, to protect oneself from opposing forces, is not negative in itself; it is even sometimes necessary.
But praying to obtain a place in the paradise of Heaven,
Praying for one’s selfish personality,
Praying to obtain one of life’s pleasures, is somewhat to betray the natural law of sharing on which the natural pyramid of universal solidarity is founded.
