VESAK: Prayer in unity
The foundation of Aumism is the Unity of the Faces of God: “God is one, whatever the Name by which He is called“. That is why we pray in unity of heart and mind with our Brothers and Sisters of other traditions, especially during the great celebrations of each one.
After the Christic festival of Easter comes Vesak, at the full moon of May, one of the most important festivals for the various schools of Buddhism. On this occasion, joining their prayers to those of Buddhists all over the world, Aumists celebrate the Buddha in his different manifestations, and more particularly in his aspect as Maitreya, whose statue (one of the largest in the world) stands at the heart of the Holy City of Mandarom Shambhasalem, facing that of Christ.
More than ever, in this time of trials, our Earth needs Love, Compassion and Unity. So that the suffering of all human beings may be eased, whatever their paths, we can pray together:
To free souls from hatred
OM OM OM
To free souls from war
OM OM OM
To free souls from the suffering of the hells
OM OM OM
To reunite man and Mother Nature
OM OM OM
To reunite humanity into a single people
OM OM OM
May Peace, Love and Light be for all beings, to infinity.
