PANDEMIC: MAKING LOCKDOWN AN OPPORTUNITY TO REFOCUS

How can we turn this period into a return to essentials?

First of all, we must give meaning to our daily lives in relation to the national and international situation: as well as protecting ourselves, staying at home is a civic act that can save lives. By avoiding being infected or unknowingly infecting others (some people can transmit the virus without having symptoms), we form a barrier to its spread and avoid adding to the burden on hospitals and carers. This is a strong motivation that we should remind ourselves of as the weeks go by. We will thus come out of this ordeal more responsible and more united. Let us not forget that it will come to an end.
To make it a time of enrichment, we will regularly offer on the Aumism website a few springboards for practical exercises, reading, reflection and meditation, drawn from the written Teaching of His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH. Simple suggestions within everyone’s reach, believers and non-believers alike, compatible with the conditions of lockdown (and which IN NO WAY replace official guidelines and medical treatment).

REPEATING THE SOUND OM or AUM

The benefits of repeating the chant OM (found again in Amen, Amin, Aum) are listed in chapter I of L’Aumisme, la Doctrine de l’Age d’Or. To benefit from it, a spirit of benevolence is needed.
“Chant the AUM aloud and you will purify the atmosphere and crystallise good vibrations. Chant the AUM softly, and it will calm your mind, foster concentration and help healing.
Chant the AUM mentally, and you will more easily attain concentration, meditation and the inner strength that frees and delivers the soul.”
Repeat the AUM for all the cells of your body, all your organs and your chakras.
While repeating it, visualise a white light flooding your body.
Repeat the AUM for those around you, your country, the whole world.
For all those who are now leaving their physical bodies.
To help all those who are ill, who are suffering, and their families.
To relieve those who are prey to fear and anguish.
And to support those who continue to provide for the needs of the community, to help and to care.

“Remember the chant of the AUM.

It saves souls in despair.

It saves peoples from destruction.”
