GROWING OLD WITHOUT FEAR

“Fragile, at risk, vulnerable”… Older people often hear these words. As the body’s resistance diminishes with time, it is certainly necessary to encourage them to be careful, especially during a pandemic.
Yet adapting to the limitations imposed by the years does not mean identifying with a body whose vigour is declining and forgetting the strength to go on living a full life. [1]

“Man is as old as his thoughts.“

That is why His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH invites us to “read texts that uplift the thoughts, exalt the forces of the soul and help to maintain serenity”; to affirm within oneself that “one’s youth and dynamism are being prolonged”; not to shut oneself up in the past; always to have projects and goals to reach; and “not to desert one’s ideal”.

“Always have the motivation to help others, for in helping one’s neighbour, the soul helps itself to stay young and to see itself projected into the future.“

(La Loi d’Evolution des âmes, p. 186)

Thus, even as one grows older, it is possible to make oneself useful and give meaning to one’s presence on Earth: “Let us try to do good with discernment. Let us forgive. Let us love with as little selfishness as possible, let us make others happy.” (Naturopathie et Yoga, p. 204)
Humanity needs the thoughts of peace, the prayers and the repetitions of the Sound OM that each of us can offer, whatever the period of our life.
