A HEALTHY PATH

Compatible with every way of life, Aumist spiritual practice fits into daily life. There is no break between the time devoted to God and the time devoted to various activities. Depending on the context, everyone can, by praying and by offering their actions to the Divine and to humanity, keep to the course of spiritual evolution within the family and in professional, community or other life. [1] His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH invites us to do so in a text entitled “The Healthy Path that I show” (L’Aumisme, la Doctrine de l’Age d’Or, p. 46):

– Become aware of your mistakes of the past and of the present. Try to understand yourself and to know what you want.

– Do not give up outward action on the pretext that you are seeking God, otherwise you will soon be regarded as a parasite on society.

– Keep your feet on the Earth while contemplating the star of your ideal.

– Take care of your husband, your wife, your children, like all the people who wear the blinkers of the prosaic, but act as a person awake to the realities of the inner Universe. Pray often! Pray at bedtime, pray on waking, pray while walking, while moving among the crowds, pray in the car, on the train.

– Do not abandon your religion: remain Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim… but study the other religions in order to love them and above all to understand your own better.

– Remove the veils of illusion that surround your consciousness and prevent you from fully contemplating the inner Light.

– Bear adversity bravely. Remember to bless your enemies. Never return evil for evil.

– Cultivate charity, compassion, benevolence, forgiveness of offences, generosity of heart, tolerance and the feeling of unity. Love your neighbour, the world and the universe. [2]

– Think of the sublime goal proposed: spiritual Liberation.

– Express the perfection that lies in potential within you, in order to regain consciously your place within the Divine Consciousness. Spiritual Liberation is the state of purity that comes from shedding selfishness, from real detachment, from the annihilation of the vain desires that are parasites on the soul; it is the state of deep universal love; it is the feeling of Unity and Universality that confers Bliss.
