A KEY OF LIGHT
It is not always easy to see the best in others in a relationship where the failings of the personality, the “ego”, gain the upper hand, leading to mistrust, misunderstanding and quarrels. One person reduces the other to what he reproaches him for, losing sight of God present in each one.
Thus, in a story illustrating the 22 Principles of Golden Age morality (Le Flambeau d’Unité, p. 344), a young man questions an old Hermit:
“How can I see Almighty God in everyone, when every day I quarrel with a brother, a sister, a relative, a friend, an enemy met on the way?
“Good question, young man!
You need only apply the Principle of disinterested prayer offered to Almighty God present in everyone, and the veils that prevent you from seeing this Light of Unity sparkling in each one will fall. [1] [2]
Prayer is a Key of Light, a true laser tearing through the darkness of the fear of others.
Prayer is a little like the plug you would insert into the electric socket. The Light of your prayer knows no borders if you know how to want, at every moment, the happiness of others, even of your enemies.”
