No. 1 – HUMAN THOUGHT CREATES WAR OR PEACE
HUMAN THOUGHT CREATES WAR OR PEACE
Today’s world is constantly changing, and these changes bring economic, ideological and social conflicts which very often lead to mass movements, wars and acts of terrorism. Every day the media wrap our planet in an immense cloak of sadness: accidents, deaths, unemployment, inflation, social and economic crises, violence. And each of us individually wears our own robe of worries and failures. So we look for the culprit outside ourselves; we always have ready-made answers… And then, in this state of mind, we sometimes look for the culprit… on God’s side, saying: “If there were a good God, none of this would ever happen!”
Yet let us not look outside ourselves for the cause of our ills: we are all responsible for what happens on this planet, and we are bound to discern the causes of conflicts in order to find how to reduce all this violence.
His Holiness the Lord Hamsah Manarah, Founder of the Aumist religion, at the same time:
– makes us aware of our responsibilities
– and shows us the way to attain peace.
This is what we are going to address to open this 8th International Colloquium of Aumism on the theme: “Building peace among human beings.”
THE DIRECT ACTORS OF CONFLICTS
We live on a planet that is a great village, and each person feels linked to the others to the point that the acts of each affect the others. Thus, crimes and the many forms of violence are committed by inhabitants of the planet for which each of us is more or less directly responsible.
In His book Le Yoga de l’amour dans la force, His Holiness the Lord Hamsah Manarah writes: “Discordant thoughts of envy, jealousy and hatred, sent out even without the knowledge of those who generate them, provoke and feed a harmful current of thoughts of the same nature. All human beings must be placed before the consequences of the choice of their thoughts.”
Man is responsible for his thoughts, which have the power to create peace or violence. The Lord Hamsah Manarah warns us: “Man, according to how you think, you will be in the Light or in darkness.”[1]
THE FACTORS OF DIVISION
Several factors are the causes of our divisions. Indeed, certain ideological or religious positions and unjust economic systems give rise to desires, emotions and feelings that lead to mass allegiances and the formation of rival groups. The spirit of intolerance within these groups is often the basis of conflicts.
The Aumist Teaching highlights the link between the violence of the mind and acts of violence: the crystallisation of the thought-forms of hatred generated by human beings gives rise to wars.
“We are all individually and collectively responsible for the wars that occur, through the actions performed and the thoughts sent out in the present life and during previous incarnations. Our thoughts, our evil actions, our hatred feed rivers of the same nature, and the result is crimes, accidents, epidemics, catastrophes…”[2]
THE FACTORS OF HARMONY
“We are permanently immersed in an ocean of thoughts; some are good, others are bad. We attract some and repel others according to the state of our mind.”[3]
Cultivating good thoughts therefore necessarily creates harmony around oneself. All those who are in a right state of mind receive the influence of these thoughts and spread them so as to create a climate of peace over part of the planet. In principle, all human beings should be eager to cultivate thoughts of peace, love, harmony and sharing if they wish to create a planetary village at peace.
His Holiness the Lord Hamsah Manarah draws our attention to this: “Each thought you send out is a vibration that never perishes; each particle continues to vibrate in the universe, and if your thoughts are holy, noble and vigorous, they make every sympathetic mind vibrate.”[4]
He invites us to inner transformation. “Changing one’s mind and selecting one’s thoughts becomes an urgent matter for those who have understood that the behaviour of each person has repercussions on all living beings. We also know that neutralising the forces of opposition within us leads to curbing antagonisms in the world.”
THE MEANS OF BUILDING PEACE PROPOSED BY AUMISM
Thus, peace depends above all on the control of our thoughts, on our awareness and on our will to act in favour of harmony.
To achieve this, the Founder of Aumism has shown us the path to take.
A/ Prayer
There is certainly a renewed interest in prayer, given the proliferation of religious communities. On the other hand, one may consider that there is a crisis of prayer, given the statistics showing a decline in the Judeo-Christian world: many men and women are turning away from prayer, more or less influenced by the materialistic tendencies of today’s mentality, by the constraints of modern life and by lack of time…
But precisely, the prayer of the OM is not just any prayer: in a single syllable, the Sound OM leads us to the confines of the universe. By linking the repetition of the OM with gesture and thought, we accelerate our inner transformation while fostering that of humanity and of the entire Creation.
B/ The Laws of the Golden Age
To avoid wars and attain individual peace and world peace, His Holiness the Lord Hamsah Manarah, in La Loi d’Évolution des âmes, offers us 12 Laws of the Golden Age: so many landmarks to improve our way of thinking.
1 – The Law of Evolution
2 – The Law of Unity
3 – The Law of Universal Love
4 – The Law of True Knowledge
5 – The Law of Sharing
6 – The Law of Forgiveness
7 – The Law of Self-Transformation
8 – The Law of the Stages of Life
9 – The Law of Life after Death
10 – The Law of Healthy Eating
11 – The Law of the Natural Contract
12 – The Law of Natural Selection
C/ The education of children for a lasting peace
For societies to evolve, the future actors of peace must be trained: the education of children is the essential means of ensuring tomorrow’s peace. Indeed, if we allow our children’s bad habits to develop, if we do not teach them the moral and spiritual values that can help mentalities progress, conflicts will be endless.
The example and vigilance of parents are necessary for children to receive a balanced education.
His Holiness the Lord Hamsah Manarah advises parents to arm their children with a complete education that develops love and strength in them: it will make their task easier in adulthood and facilitate their mission on this earth. The aim is thus to prepare enlightened actors of peace in the service of humanity.
***
During this colloquium, fundamental points of the Aumist Teaching that foster the necessary change of mentalities will be presented to you.
Wanting peace means putting into practice:
– respect for the Unity of the Faces of God, the foundation of tolerance and religious peace, illustrated by the monastery of Mandarom Shambhasalem
– forgiveness and reconciliation founded on respect for the Divine in oneself and in others
– justice towards men, women, children and nature, which is alive and reacts to human behaviour
– the sharing of wealth, of Knowledge and of prayers
– the means of cultivating inner peace by connecting with God.
Thus, Aumism is a “religion of peace” that helps each person contribute, in their daily life, to planetary peace.
