No. 1 – SOME ASPECTS OF SOLIDARITY IN AUMISM
No. 1 – SOME ASPECTS OF SOLIDARITY IN AUMISM
Founded by His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH, Aumism is a Universal Religion intended to “link together beings born into different traditions and cultures, philosophies and religions”[1], with world peace as its goal. It is “the synthesis of all the religions of East and West”[2].
By reminding human beings that God is present in each of them, it links them both to God and to one another.
Here, in broad outline, are some aspects of the help it brings to our humanity.
A single dogma for peace: the Unity of the Faces of God
The Unity of the Faces of God can be summed up as follows: “God is One, whatever Name we give Him.” But to help human beings evolve towards greater love, and to speak their language, “He takes on countless Faces according to places, periods and civilisations…”[3]
“Human beings quarrel and fight in the Name of God,” says Lord HAMSAH MANARAH, “whereas in reality they worship the same Energy, the same transcendent Being.”
Awareness of this original unity therefore goes hand in hand with respect for differences. This is fundamental if religions are to move beyond their oppositions, rediscover solidarity among themselves and cooperate in the service of planetary peace.
Shaped like a six-edged pyramid, the Hexamide symbolises the return of the religions, represented by the colours of the rainbow, into the white Light of OM.
OM is the Creative Word, the first Name of God, found in many Traditions and also in the forms amen, amin, aum… It is the root of the word Aumism. During prayers and ceremonies, we pay homage to God under the different Names that the religions give Him.
A monastery to help all beings
As in all the traditions in which prayers are offered for the reconciliation of the world, this monastery is a “Power Station of spiritual Energy spreading its prayers over each and every one, beyond the divisions of borders, races, peoples and religion”[4].
Since 1969, the universalist monastery of the Mandarom, which brings together temples, statues and symbols from many traditions, has been the beacon of tolerance offered to the planet to help it change its mentality and move beyond sectarianism and wars of religion.
The building of the Buddha facing the Christ, in particular, is a concrete symbol of Unity, a sign of Love and Peace for the planet.
The 17-metre Christ facing the 21-metre Buddha, the first Buddha in the West and the fourth largest seated Buddha in the world, “crystallise an ideal: that of the transformation of the human condition, that of the realised Being beyond all sects, schools and religions”[5].
These statues have become “condensed masses of spiritual Energy”, returning prayers and kindly thoughts as “beams of Light circulating over the Monastery, over the region, over the Earth and throughout the whole Universe to infinity, for the good of all beings”[6].
A Spiritual Master and a Teaching at the service of humanity
His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH, founder of Aumism, incarnated to help us move beyond divisions and enter the new Era of solidarity and fraternity, called the Golden Age.
The film that we will have the honour of showing you tomorrow afternoon will give you a glimpse of His immense Compassion and of His exceptional initiatory path, from Yogi to Messiah, devoted to the service of all beings despite the intolerance of a society that has lost the sense of human and spiritual values.
A talk on the quest for spiritual Liberation, a Path at the service of humanity, will show that the Envoy guides each person on the path of their own divinisation.
The written Teaching of Lord HAMSAH MANARAH, in 22 Books, answers the questions we ask ourselves today in daily life. In the midst of the uncertainties we are going through, it responds to our search for meaning and to our deep need for unity and reconciliation.
It encourages us to make the effort to rediscover solidarity, as will be discussed during this Conference:
– through a change in our way of thinking, which can free us from selfishness and defeatism, make us more positive and kindly, and help us build the foundations of a fairer society.
– through action: the importance of humanitarian aid is stressed at every level, which encourages everyone to do what they can and to get involved where they are. Acting for the planet means learning to share with others, but also to stand in solidarity with nature.
– through prayer, in unity with the men and women of all traditions who want peace. Called “invisible humanitarian action”, prayer helps all the kingdoms of the living and the souls of the departed. It has no limits and can reach a dimension that is not only planetary but cosmic.
In all situations, the prayer of OM allows all of us, believers and non-believers, to be useful to others and to ourselves.
In short, here is the motto proposed by Aumism: whatever our path, it reminds us of the meaning of existence, which is to move towards greater Love of the Divine present in each person.
“Love, serve, forgive, meditate, realise the Divine within oneself.”
