New conceptions of death

The transition into the Golden Age

The mystery of death does not exist for one who awakens on the different planes of consciousness.

To be born is to begin to die,

And to die is to begin to be born.

It is up to everyone to stop being like little children paralysed by emotion and fear before the natural and inevitable phenomenon of death.

Knowing how to help others and oneself in the face of this bogeyman is an imperative duty.

If we regard death as a change of form and state, a change of life, the phenomenon loses its terrible character.

Did Jesus not say: “Verily, I say unto you, except a man be born again, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

Death is only a change of state, an evolution from a lower plane to a higher, less limited plane.

Death is not a punishment; it is a step to be taken, a door that opens, a new hope that is kindled.

In the golden age, death is no longer that terrible skeleton armed with a scythe, cutting off by the hundreds the heads of poor human beings filled with fear at its feet.

Death is a step forward, a step towards the light, a step towards a new hope: that of being trained in the laws of the new age and of being reborn in matter with open eyes and a mind clear about the new realities.

In the golden age, death brings neither fear, nor dread, nor sadness, nor deification, but allows evolution so as to rise ever higher.

What is born is bound to die, for death is an integral part of the evolution of the kingdoms.

Death is only a change of state. It fosters the slow evolution from mineral to plant, from plant to animal, from animal to human, from human to divine, from divine to the Absolute, from the Absolute to the beyond of the beyond.

Death must no longer terrify the consciousness of souls. It is an evolution from a lower plane to a normally higher plane.

Those who stagnate at one level of evolution fear death, but those who keep moving forward at each stage, from degree to degree, to reach realised Divinity, never fear death: they welcome it as a new birth into a world they have foreseen and which no longer terrifies them.

The body of flesh is only the envelope of the soul, an immortal consciousness travelling from life to life to perfect itself and attempt to attain fusion in God.

The death of the body is therefore only a change of plane of consciousness. The soul evolves in the astral plane, then reaches the celestial plane, in order to transcend any notion of heavens. Death is the passage from the bodily to the ethereal, ever more fluid.

Likewise, reincarnation or rebirth in a new body takes place from plane to plane, from the energies of the absolute, in stages, down to the solid matter of a physical body.

Death is a principle that balances Creation.

In itself, therefore, it is only a change of state, the physical body being the more or less worn-out cloak that the soul casts off at the end of an incarnation in order to take on a new one.

“As a man casts off worn-out garments and puts on new ones, so the embodied soul casts off worn-out bodies and enters into others that are new.” (Bhagavad Gita)

The ladder of the kingdoms as a whole is subject to the principle of death, which allows passage from a lower to a higher stage of evolution:

– The spirits of stones will die in the mineral state to be reborn into the plant condition.

– The spirits of plants will die in the plant state to be reborn into the higher state of animals.

– Likewise, the spirits of animals will tend to individualise from their respective group souls in order to reach the human condition.

– The individualised souls of the human kingdom will then enter a cycle of successive incarnations, interspersed with a more or less prolonged interlude in the astral plane, the celestial plane and the lower and higher mental planes.

The purpose of these successive incarnations is to bring the human soul to fusion in the Absolute.

In the Diamond age, the principle of life is in total balance with the principle of death. The absurd oppositions between the two principles are abolished, and death loses its frightening and destructive character. It is demystified and placed within a temporal and cyclical framework.
