THE UNITY OF HUMANITY
Our incomplete education does not lead us to consider deeply enough the Unity of all living beings; that is why there are so many oppositions in societies.
We are all bound together, not only in appearance, considering humanity’s struggle to live, but at an even subtler level, in the mysterious depths of ourselves.
You and I are One, on every plane. Our souls are immersed in “the One without a second”.
Love makes the feeling of Unity grow. Conversely, the feeling of Unity makes Love grow. Together, the two amplify Intuitive Knowledge.
By harming my brother, I harm myself without knowing it. It may take me time to realise this and to establish the correlation between my thoughts, my actions and what happens to me.
Through our bad behaviour we increase suffering in the world by a chain reaction.
Through our most secret good deeds, the soul of the world quivers with happiness.
All impulses inspired by noble states of consciousness foster the harmony of a community and echo to infinity.
In loving others, we love an aspect of ourselves. Knowing this, there is no risk of giving rise to indifference, since the propensity to love oneself, in one’s outward aspects, has the force of a torrent.
One who has developed the feeling of Unity is thereby cured of hostility, malice and hatred. Can one hate one’s tongue, one’s teeth, one’s stomach, one’s heart, knowing that these organs make up the Unity of our body?
Everyone knows where the tendency to self-destruction leads when it is not vigorously fought.
Hatred separates human beings kept in ignorance of Reality. It destroys the harmony of a society. Its main support is precisely separateness.
Let us help people to understand their Unity in the Divine Consciousness. The tensions between them will disappear, the feeling of Love will grow and Universal Harmony will be possible.
