SAVING THE PLANET

“Let us change to save the planet!” This is the call of the 12th International Symposium of Aumism, to be held on 3 and 4 October 2020 on Ecology, a priority for “Towards a Better World”.
With the health crisis, concern for human health and life can only strengthen our responsibility in the face of the consequences of the ecological crisis: its victims are already countless throughout the world. Pollution, in all its forms, harms the health and life of every one of us every day.
At the crossroads of the planet’s many imbalances, the ecological crisis also concentrates all the S.O.S. calls. In every sector, at every level of society, it pushes us to change.
Regaining our unity with Nature is therefore vital. We are in osmosis with it, and it reacts to our violence as to our care. By taking care of its health, we take care of our own. By preserving its life, we preserve that of our humanity, that of our children’s children.
This is still possible if, in a burst of lucidity, we seize the chance to break with past errors and make new choices. His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH insists:
“Prospects for the future depend on the present and on each person’s real will to change.”
Together with the other voices raised to accelerate awareness and drive positive change, Aumist ecology centres us on our individual and collective responsibility: it is founded on the presence of the Divine in all the kingdoms (mineral, plant, animal, human), which entails the need to respect and protect the planet in all its components. [1]
Faced with the urgency of ecological rescue, everyone can join their human brothers and sisters in sharing prayer and action:
– by repeating the chant of OM for the evolution of all;
– by acting concretely and tirelessly in the disinterested service of the whole of humanity.

“Human beings, beyond their differences, must know how to unite at the bedside of their living environment, sick from being overexploited and polluted.“

(La Révolution du monde des vivants et des morts, p. 443)

It is this work of love that can save our planet.
