THE UNITY OF THE FACES OF GOD AND RELIGIOUS PEACE ACCORDING TO AUMISM

The great Sages of all traditions have preached understanding, harmony and tolerance between believers of different faiths. Indeed, on what is Essential, religions teach the same values, and in many fields they have contributed to the enrichment and evolution of our humanity’s beliefs. We should therefore think more in terms of complementarity and spiritual stimulation than of superiority or rivalry.

His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH proposes a single dogma, that of the Unity of the Faces of God, as the foundation of religious peace: according to Aumism, there is no scale of values between the different Faces taken by the Envoys of God. They come from the same source, which is Love, Peace, Forgiveness and Sharing, for the benefit of all without distinction of race, religion or nation.

In this talk we will therefore see:

  • I. Some aspects of the Work of the Founder of Aumism for peace;
  • II. The dogma of the Unity of the Faces of God;
  • III. The Unity of the Faces of God and religious peace.

I. SOME ASPECTS OF THE WORK OF THE FOUNDER OF AUMISM FOR PEACE

His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH, Founder of Aumism, devoted His life to the service of humanity, working in the visible and the invisible for planetary peace, which begins with religious peace. Here we will mention, for example, His encounter with the different Traditions before the creation of the monastery of Mandarom Shambhasalem, and the Great Forgiveness, of which the Golden Temple built in this Holy City is the symbol.

1) The initiatic journey of His Holiness to the heart of the different Traditions and the founding of the City of Light of Mandarom Shambhasalem

His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH, Founder of the Aumist religion, was born into a French family that practised traditional Catholicism. Before founding the Aumist religion, He first set an example of respect and love for the different Traditions of West and East by going to meet them during a long journey. He thus held important responsibilities and received Initiations in many Western initiatic groups (the mysteries of the Kabbalah and Alchemy, Freemasonry, the Rosicrucians, the Martinist Lodges, the Holy Grail).

After travelling to the Holy Land and the Middle East, He went to India, where in 1961, in Rishikesh, Swami Sivananda conferred on him the Initiation of a renunciant Monk: He became Swami Hamsananda Sarasvati, “Bliss in the Absolute”, attached to the Initiatic Lineage of the Sarasvatis.

He was also initiated into the Paths of Jainism, which advocates non-violence (ahimsa), of Buddhism, of Sufism, of Japanese Shingon and of certain African traditions.

Back in France, He lived as a Hermit in a remote cave in the Vaucluse, experiencing higher states of consciousness or mystical ecstasies, the Fusion in God “which make Him the Total Incarnation of the Living God”.[1] Great Sages of all Traditions recognised his extraordinary spiritual stature, which will be developed in the next talk. They conferred exceptional titles on Him and paid tribute to this Being of Light who came for peace.

His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH writes: “The Envoy is on Earth to help nations overcome their divisions and build their union. This is why God ordered me to quench my soul’s thirst at all the Spiritual Sources of East and West. I put my Body in resonance with each sacred place, then built the Ideal of Unity in the Holy City of Shambhasalem, clinging to the side of a mountain in Haute-Provence.”[2]

As you will see in the next talk, this monastery, unique in the world, where monuments dedicated to different religions stand side by side, shows the way to peace.

2) An extraordinary symbol of peace: the Golden Temple of Mandarom Shambhasalem

God’s Great Forgiveness to establish peace

The history of religions, of their founders and their saints, bears witness to a dialogue, an interaction between human beings and God: “To deny the invisible is to deny religion in its proper sense, which is to bind souls to God.”[3]

In the autumn of 1989, with the construction of the Golden Temple for Judaism in the Holy City of Mandarom Shambhasalem, Lord HAMSAH MANARAH revealed to us the origin of conflicts due to memories of successive wars between civilisations that disappeared several tens of millennia ago. He unveiled to us the hidden side of the mythologies describing ancient catastrophes, such as the flood and the disappearance of Atlantis, that resulted from these confrontations.

The Mission of Lord HAMSAH MANARAH as Melchizedek, King of Justice and Peace, was therefore to pacify and reconcile through prayer, during long rituals, the worlds of the invisible, which were fighting one another through the agency of nations to satisfy their desire for revenge: He granted them the Great Forgiveness in order to put an end to the spiral of hatred and endless wars. “The Golden Temple embodies the Great Forgiveness and the erasing of the debts and memories of Karma already paid.”[4]

The Great Forgiveness brought visible improvements: we witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall and then German reunification, the gradual democratisation of the countries of Eastern Europe, the end of the Iran-Iraq war and the end of apartheid in South Africa. These are only the most spectacular events recorded.[5]

Divine Justice to establish peace

In the many sacred Texts of religions awaiting the divine Envoy, His main mission is to bring back Justice and the divine Law in order to open a new era, called the Golden Age in Aumism. It is written in the Bible: “In his days shall justice spring up, and abundance of peace” (Psalm 72:7).[6]

If criminals and the wicked do harm without becoming aware of the effects of their harmful actions, and if, on the other hand, the virtuous who strive on the path of Good are persecuted, the result is the greatest chaos. In the Book of the Dead of ancient Egypt, the god Osiris weighed hearts. In the Bible, God must return to judge souls. In the Bhagavad Gita, for Hinduism, the Supreme Lord descends in person: “For the deliverance of the good and the destruction of evildoers, to set Justice on the Throne, I take birth from age to age” (4, 7-8).[7]

When Aumists pay Homage to Lord HIEROKARANTINE, Master of the Selection of Souls, they are referring to this high responsibility of the Envoy, who guides and comforts and brings the Great Forgiveness and the Knowledge souls need in order to make the right choice. Indeed, human beings are henceforth judged only on their present choice: “For or against Unity”.

From now on, only souls capable of putting tolerance, forgiveness and justice into practice deserve to reincarnate… Thanks to this selection, the Earth will gradually be peopled by men and women capable of maintaining peace. Thus “the hope of a better, more united, more fraternal world, a world of greater solidarity” is restored to humanity.[8]

II. THE DOGMA OF THE UNITY OF THE FACES OF GOD

To call human beings of all religions to tolerance and fraternity, His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH founded the Aumist religion, whose name is derived from OM, the Word of Unity, the first Name of God, which is found in Eastern religions and in amen for Christians, amin for Muslims and shalom for Jews.

In Aumism, the only dogma is the Unity of the Faces of God: God is One, whatever the Name human beings give Him. He is Unity in multiplicity. It is to speak to people in their own language that He incarnates in different eras, in different countries, under different Faces, which are different expressions of the divine Unity. Great spiritual Figures have already risen above religious divisions, such as Ramakrishna, Vivekananda and Gandhi… In Germany, in the 15th century, Nicholas of Cusa wrote in On the Peace of Faith: “On the pretext of religion, we see most people taking up arms against one another… And yet it is You alone, King of all things, whom all venerate through the apparent objects of their worship… It is You whom, through the diversity of rites, they all seem to seek in different ways, and it is You whom they name through the diversity of divine Names…”

“Each of My Faces expresses in Its own way the regained Unity of Heaven and Earth,” says His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH. “Each is a facet of the Diamond of Unity. None of them requires a war of religion to impose itself on the world.”[9]

And the religion He founded brings human beings this Knowledge: God is at the origin of all religions, as the Holy City of Mandarom Shambhasalem, with its various temples and statues, illustrates so luminously. As the Doctrine of the Golden Age (the new Age of peace and solidarity), Aumism works for rapprochement and dialogue between religions, peoples and nations.

III. THE UNITY OF THE FACES OF GOD AND RELIGIOUS PEACE

Since God is the same for all and is at the origin of the different religious currents despite their differences, religions are sisters. To emerge from their conflicts, they must rediscover their original unity.

1) Unity in OM

The prayer of AUM is the simplest and surest way to reach Unity with the Divine and Unity with all that lives. Selfless prayer is the indispensable fuel that feeds our soul in its ascent to its inner summits, but above all it is that spiritual Light to be shared with each and every one and spread over nature and the universe. It is the Torch of Unity that “can save us”, as the cover of the 5th volume of the New Laws series so beautifully sums it up. In AUM, the synthesis of the Names of God, everything is contained: the origin of religions and the unity of their Essence.

2) The Hexamide, symbol of the Unity of religions

This pyramid with six rainbow-coloured edges meeting at the top, in the white light of OM, symbolises the return to the primordial unity of all religions, which were born of the same Transcendent Consciousness but became divided and opposed over time.

“Everyone has the right to venerate GOD as they understand and conceive Him, while nevertheless having the will to understand also, even superficially, the other messages of the Divine, which come from the same luminous source.”[10]

3) The Temple Pyramid of the Unity of the Faces of God, a vital construction for the Earth

“The Unity of the Faces of God must continue from century to century through the Lineage of the HIEROKARANTINE, succeeding one another, each working so that the long-awaited, long-hoped-for Golden Age of Unity may take shape and then endure.”[11]

Concerning the divine Incarnation, Tertullian, a Father of the Church, uses this image: “Just as the sun is known not directly but through the rays it spreads on earth, so God can be known by man only in an anthropomorphic way, as a Father who has begotten a son.”[12] It is said in the Bhagavata Purana: “In order to protect the Earth, the priests, the Gods, the Saints and the Scriptures, and to allow each person the inner and outer realisation of their being, the Lord descends into a Living Body.”

The HIEROKARANTINE, guarantor of the Unity of the Faces of God, sits and prays in the Temple Pyramid. This Temple will welcome men and women of all religions who wish to pray for peace. It must act as a talisman for our humanity by generating, through prayers of Unity, a current of reconciliation, harmony, solidarity and fraternity.

“If the Unity of the Faces of God is respected by all, there will be no more hatred, no more pain, no more hell; the Earth will be at peace, for the divine principle will crown its destiny, its present as well as its future.”[13]

CONCLUSION

“Love is the force that unites, that reconciles, that leads to forgiveness, that makes it possible to conclude every peace. (…) If human beings loved one another, beyond differences of class, religion, sex and race, they would regard border wars and wars of religion as so many anachronisms belonging to another age.”[14]

So, to finish, let us keep in mind this thought of tolerance and peace contained in the Meditation for the Unity of religions that we practised at the beginning of this conference:

“I respect and love the pilgrims of all Traditions, whatever their way of seeking God.”[15]
