TO REFOCUS ON ONESELF
Despite the communication tools that allow people to keep in touch with their family, relatives or friends, confinement imposes an unprecedented loneliness on many people. Being alone with oneself, with one’s contrasting reactions to isolation, can sometimes be difficult to live with, but the situation can also offer the opportunity for a precious refocusing on oneself, on what is essential.
In this process of positive introspection, Aumism, like other traditions, calls each person to (re)become aware of his or her divine nature, considering that God is present within us:
“Become the God you are” is the word addressed to every human being on Earth by His Holiness Lord HAMSAH MANARAH, founder of the religion of Aumism.
Becoming aware of our divine nature and walking the spiritual path of “divinization” does not consist in “bringing down” or introducing into man “something” that did not exist. It is about tearing the veil of ignorance that prevents us from contemplating the Divine already within us. (Le Yoga de la Divinisation, p. 18)
Therefore, it is a matter of identifying oneself not with one’s personality but with the Divine Consciousness, not being afraid to affirm: “I am the Supreme I.”
To make this affirmation one’s own is also to make the profound resolution to improve ourselves a little more each day, without guilt but with determination, to reduce our shortcomings and defects, so that benevolence, tolerance, love, brotherhood and solidarity may grow more and more within us each day.
This effort to develop one’s human qualities also concerns of course atheists of good will, even if they do not accept the idea of a divine dimension :
“You have the right to deny the existence of God…
but you have a duty to transform,
to improve yourself for the happiness of the world. »
(Yoga et Sagesse, p.283 )
