BLESSING OF MEALS

In most religious traditions, in various ways, the meal is preceded by a prayer. In Aumism, the blessing of meals expresses the unity of each person with Mother Nature and with humans, especially those in need. It is an opportunity to spread thoughts of love for all of Creation, to wish everyone happiness in all its aspects that culminates in spiritual Liberation. It is a reminder that food gives us strength to put at the service of humanity.

We share here with those who wish to do so, from Aumism, the Doctrine of the Golden Age, p. 223, “A Prayer for the Blessing of Meals”:

OM OM OM

“May Love, Peace, Happiness, Prosperity, Health, Protection, Bliss be upon all beings in all directions of space: north, east, south, west, zenith and nadir.

May the blessing be upon all the elements, all the elementals of earth, water, air, fire and ether.

May the blessing be upon all plants, all animals and all humans.

May the blessing be spread over the whole earth, and the whole universe.

May all those who hunger and thirst be satisfied,

May abundance and prosperity be for all,

May all beings attain the condition of liberation in the COSMIC CHRIST, the condition of DARPANA BUDDHAS.

Let us give thanks to the celestial Powers for blessing the food we will take in order to serve better. “
