The light of forgiveness

In many countries, it is customary to wear new clothes for New Year’s Day. On a spiritual level, discarding worn, faded, or soiled clothing symbolizes a break with the past, which is often burdened with guilt and resentment. It signifies the inner transformation that purifies the heart and mind.

So, as this year draws to a close, let us cut away whatever prevents the light of love and peace from shining fully within us: “In order for the oyster containing the divine pearl in each soul to open again and dispel the darkness within, we must first forgive ourselves and also forgive others for the harm we have suffered, which is partly our own fault. » (L’Unité des Visages de Dieu, p. 225) [1]

God, in His infinite compassion, grants His Great Forgiveness even to the worst of criminals who repent: “the chance for redemption is for everyone.” He grants it to all humans so that they may escape the torments of division, make a new start toward unity, and participate, against all odds, in building a responsible future that guarantees life on Earth.

It is up to us, starting today, to make sincere forgiveness of ourselves and others the shining springboard for the coming year!
