A KEY OF LIGHT

It is not always easy to see the best in the other person, in a relationship where the shortcomings of the personality – the “ego” – take over, leading to mistrust, misunderstanding and quarrels. One reduces the other to what he or she reproaches, losing sight of God present in each person.

Thus, in a story illustrating the 22 Principles of Golden Age Morality (The Torch of Unity p. 344), a young man asks an old Hermit:

“How will I be able to see God Almighty in everyone, when every day I am arguing with a brother, a sister, a relative, a friend, an enemy I meet on the way? –

Good question, young man!

All you have to do is to apply the principle of selfless prayer offered to God Almighty present in everyone so that the veils preventing you from seeing the Light of Unity shining in everyone fall away. [1] [2]

Prayer is a Key of Light, a real laser tearing the darkness of the fear of the other.

Prayer is a bit like the plug that you insert in the electric current receptacle. The Light of your prayer is boundless, if you know at all times that you want the happiness of others, even of your enemies.
