RESISTING THE STRESS

We are all concerned by what humanity, of which we are a part, is going through, its aspirations for a better world, its progress and also its sufferings – to which today we add those of the victims of an uncommon earthquake to whom our fraternal thoughts go…

Understanding what our fellow human beings, known and unknown, near and far, are going through makes it possible to help them through thought, prayer, and action. But it is not for us to espouse every stress! In order to support those in need, we must keep our spirits up, preserve our strength.[1] It is therefore necessary to regularly fill up on energy. [2]

A nous de choisir la pratique qui nous convient. Here is for example, taken from the Flambeau d’Unité p. 432, a technique that everyone can adapt to their particular case: consciously absorbing the vital energy of the air we breathe (prana). [3]  It allows to “reduce the consequences of the aggressions of modern life: excessive haste, emotions, overwork…”, in other words, to increase its resistance to the ambient stress.

Let us affirm by breathing in slowly:

« “I absorb Prana, this universal force
that brings me will, courage, energy, tenacity.
Let us affirm during retention:
“I fix in me this energy that floods my body and my mind.”
Let’s affirm while slowly exhaling:
“I reject the air with all negative conditions
and settle into peace, calm and serenity.

[1] Cf. post n° 1, « Garder la forme »
[2] Cf. post n° 19, « Augmenter sa force »
[3] Cf. post n° 43, « Respirer pour se calmer »
N.B. Air retention is not recommended for heart patients.
