SAVE THE PLANET

“Let’s change to save the planet! “This is the call of the 12th International Colloquium on Ecology, a priority for the “next world”, which will take place on October 3 and 4, 2020.

With the health crisis, the concern for human health and life can only reinforce our responsibility in the face of the consequences of the ecological crisis: its victims are already countless around the world. Pollution, in all its forms, damages the health and life of everyone on a daily basis.

At the crossroads of the multiple imbalances of the planet, the ecological crisis also concentrates all the S.O.S. In all sectors, at all levels of society, it pushes us to change.

Recovering our unity with Nature is therefore vital. We are in osmosis and she reacts to our violence as well as to our solicitude. By taking care of her health, we take care of our own. By preserving its life, we preserve that of our humanity, that of our children’s children.

This is still possible if, in a burst of lucidity, we seize the chance to break with past mistakes, to make new choices. His Holiness the Lord HAMSAH MANARAH insists:

“The prospects for the future depend on the present and on the real will to change of each one of us. »

In concert with other voices that rise to accelerate awareness and bring about positive change, ecology focuses us on our individual and collective responsibility: it is based on the presence of the Divine in all kingdoms – mineral, vegetable, animal, human – which entails the need to respect and protect the planet in all its components. [1]

Faced with the urgency of ecological rescue, everyone can join with their fellow human beings in sharing prayer and action:

– by repeating the OM’s song for the evolution of all.

– by acting concretely and tirelessly for the selfless service of all humanity.

“Men, beyond their differences, must know how to unite at the bedside of their living environment, sick of being overexploited and polluted. »

(The Revolution of the World of the Living and the Dead, p.443)

It is this work of love that can save our planet.
