BOOSTING YOUR DYNAMISM
Remaining or becoming “a radiant being despite advanced age” means cultivating the dynamism that fights gloom and enables you to move forward in any situation. In this way, we can prolong our youth and communicate our joie de vivre to others. [1]
It’s true that morale fluctuates according to events. There’s no need to feel guilty! Fortunately, there are a variety of complementary ways to reinforce the dynamism that will radiate outwards: maintain the vigor of the body (healthy food, sufficient sleep, oxygenation, regular exercise, medical care if necessary) and the mind (optimistic thoughts, stimulating reading and interaction, plans for the future.) Make both successes and failures engines of progress. Develop the power of altruism and love. Recharge your batteries with meditation and prayer, [2] whose repetition of OM….
With this in mind, let’s share a breathing technique from Yoga of Practical Life, p.232 :
Regenerating exercise [3]
– Inhaling slowly and progressively, think :
« I absorb Prana, the Universal Force that brings me energy, dynamism, health and happiness. »
– During retention, think :
« I fix in me this energy which regenerates all my cells. »
– As you exhale, say :
« I reject all causes of disturbance, all negative conditions. »
– Short pause, assert :
“I become aware of the growth of my radiance. »
